About the Author
Cecelia Hopkins-Drewer grew up in the Barossa Valley, an area of South Australia predominantly settled by German immigrants. Cecelia remembers the struggle to learn to read – and reading was a slow process until one birthday, she sat down with her gift, and the mystery story was so exciting, she finished it in one session. She has wanted to write her own stories ever since!

During her work in Kindergartens and pre-schools, Cecelia also became interested in speech development as the forerunner of literacy.
Special Pictures to Talk About is designed to provide stimulating material for teachers and parents to use in conversation with their children.
